About The Company

About Ghana Christian International High School

Ghana Christian International High School (GCIHS) was born from a divine vision given to Emeritus Professor Stephen Adei and his wife, Mrs. Georgina Adei, in the 1990s. The founders were convinced that Ghana required an institution that combined rigorous academic training with a steadfast Christian foundation. This vision was further reinforced by their children, who identified the need for a school that nurtured both the intellect and the spirit as a 'unique creation of God.'

Starting in October 2000 in a converted house in New Achimota with just 15 students and five teachers, the school has evolved into a prestigious institution known for holistic development. In 2007, the school relocated to its permanent 33-acre campus in Sota, and later expanded with the community-based Pomaa-Adeiso Campus (PAC) in Adansi. Today, GCIHS stands as a beacon in the 'EDU FOR GOOD' category, training over 1,400 students to become transformational leaders.

Mission and Core Values

The mission of GCIHS is to educate young people in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, preparing them for university study and the workplace while providing an environment for enriched academic growth. The school is guided by five core values: the Lordship of Jesus Christ, living a consistent Christian life, hard work and discipline, holistic care for the student's development, and a strong sense of Christian community.

Key Achievements

GCIHS has established a legacy of excellence, frequently ranking as the 'Best GCE Ordinary Level School of the Year' for nearly a decade. Its students consistently achieve 'Top in the World' awards from Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) in subjects such as Geography, French, and English.

  • 2024 WASSCE Best Candidate in the Business Programme.
  • 2023 Top in World Award, CAIE O’Level Geography.
  • Multiple 1st Place finishes in the 'Sharks' academic competition (2018, 2019, 2020).
  • 1st Place in the 2024 Dunkfest Basketball Tournament for both Boys and Girls teams.
“The Lord gave the vision to my wife... and I in the 1990s. But Ghana Christian International High School today is a product of the dedication and work of many people... we aim at growing a total person for ethical and moral leadership of their generation.”

Vision for the Future

GCIHS continues to strive toward its vision of producing Godly top intellectuals who become value-based leaders in their generation, maintaining its position as a uniquely evangelical and academically superior institution that serves 'For God, Family and Country.'
