The story of Waward Education is closely tied to the journey of its founder, Dr. Chia-Hung (Win) Lin.
Dr. Lin began his career as a renowned mathematics educator and academic coach. A pivotal turning point came during his studies and professional engagements in the United States, as well as his speaking and teaching assignments across Mainland China. Through extensive international exposure, he observed a common challenge: while Taiwanese entrepreneurs possess remarkable resilience, determination, and execution capabilities, many lack the systematic strategic thinking and management frameworks required to scale successfully in the global economy of the 21st century.
Motivated by this insight, Dr. Lin founded Waward Education with the mission of becoming an “accelerator” for entrepreneurs and business leaders. His focus evolved from educating students to cultivating the leaders who drive industries, innovation, and economic growth.

Dr. Chia-Hung “Win” Lin is the Founder and CEO of Waward Education Group and the founder/co-founder of multiple cross-disciplinary ventures spanning education, technology innovation, business consulting, and talent development. He is widely recognized as one of Asia’s emerging leaders in business transformation, strategic consulting, and educational innovation.
Born and raised in Taipei, Taiwan, Dr. Lin embarked on his entrepreneurial journey at the age of 18 after his family was impacted by the global financial crisis. Starting with a small tutoring business, he gradually built a successful educational enterprise and helped thousands of students gain admission to Taiwan’s leading universities and prestigious institutions around the world, transforming the educational opportunities of countless families.
For more than a decade, Dr. Lin has been dedicated to integrating the resilience and entrepreneurial spirit of Eastern business culture with the systematic management frameworks of Western business practices. He has served as a Visiting Scholar at Stanford University and the University of California, Berkeley, where he explored innovation, entrepreneurship, leadership, digital transformation, and global business development.
In 2024, Dr. Lin was appointed as one of the youngest Fellows of the Silicon Valley Research Institute (SVRI) and was honored with the prestigious Harvard Business Review Ram Charan Management Practice Award, becoming the only recipient from Taiwan. This recognition highlighted his outstanding contributions to business model innovation and digital transformation.
