About The Company

The Spirit of "Trying" and Innovation

Bangkok Entrepreneurial Students Tryouts (BEST) was born from a shared vision among students at the International Community School (ICS) in 2020. Inspired by their own experiences at entrepreneurial camps, the founding team, led by Joanna Ahpaa Pinsuvana, sought to create a platform where Thai high school students could experience the thrill of the startup world firsthand. The organization was established to provide the practical framework necessary for students to transition from theoretical learners to active problem-solvers.

Mission and A Classroom Without Borders

The mission of BEST is to motivate high school students to explore the startup landscape and build essential soft skills through project-based learning. Central to its philosophy is the concept of a "classroom without borders," where education is not confined to textbooks but is instead driven by real-world application, mentorship, and peer collaboration. The organization emphasizes inclusivity, welcoming students from diverse backgrounds—including technology, arts, and humanities—to ensure a wide range of perspectives in every project.

  • Annual Startup Competition: A high-stakes platform where teams pitch business ideas to a panel of professional judges.
  • Skills Development: Focus on critical thinking, market validation, business modeling, and prototype development.
  • Community and Service: Integration of community service initiatives to ensure that entrepreneurial ventures drive positive social change.

Key Achievements

Since its inception, BEST has successfully transitioned from a school-based initiative to a nationally recognized competition. It has secured high-profile partnerships with organizations such as Reactor Schools Singapore, True Incube, and the National Innovation Agency (NIA). These collaborations have allowed BEST to provide students with access to industry experts and venture capital perspectives, significantly elevating the quality of youth entrepreneurship in Thailand.

"Since our founding, Bangkok Entrepreneurial Students Tryouts (BEST) Competition has developed and grown in a positive direction. ... we learn to be lifelong learners that enables us to be open-minded and challenges us to do our very best."

Vision for the Future

BEST envisions a future where every student in Thailand has the opportunity to develop an entrepreneurial mindset, regardless of their career path. By expanding its network of "BEST Leaders" and digital webinars, the organization aims to cultivate a generation of empathetic, innovative leaders who are equipped to tackle global challenges with resilience and creativity.
